El Quetzal Issue 2 : 1 Cimi

Welcome to the second issue of El Quetzal, the Mayan Calendar Portal newsletter. Today we set sail on the 6th trecena of this Tzolk'in round, the trecena of 1 Cimi. Cimi is "Death", symbolizing the sacred cyclical process of birth, death and rebirth. This is a trecena of transformation, life changes, important transitions. Breathe into it. SONY Pictures' aggressively-marketed action movie "2012" opens today, November 13, in the US and Canada, and we're opening the floodgates for your comments and reviews.
