Mayan Astrology and the Super Tuesday Primaries and Caucuses

On Super Tuesday -- March 6, 2012 -- 10 Republican primaries/caucuses take place. So today, I am making this prediction more than a week in advance.

As with all my political astrology predictions, it is based solely on the 260-day Mayan Sacred Calendar. This time I first considered the candidates' day signs and coefficients. They are:

Santorum: 7 Earth (Imix/Imox)
Romney: 2 Jaguar (Ix/Ix)
Gingrich: 3 Dog (Oc/Tzi)
Paul: 5 Road (Eb/E)

A person can get a boost or surge of energy on the day of their nahual, and in politics that means that Gingrich, a Dog, should do well on March 6, which is Dog. That is one reason I predicted that Romney would win the New Hampshire primary, which took place on a Jaguar day and he is 2 Jaguar.

But the day sign for March 6 is 13 Dog (Oc/Tzi): the coefficient 13 can bring bad or good according to the Ki'che' Maya of Momostenango, Guatemala. In this case, it does not look good for Gingrich, even though he is Dog. But if he can handle the intensity of a 13 day, he could perform better than expected.

Comparing the Candidates' Coefficients
Santorum's 7 is the highest coefficient, and therefore gives him more energy than the others. This is one reason for picking him to win the most delegates on Super Tuesday.

Composite Charts
Next I created composite charts based on each candidate's Mayan day sign and that of March 6.

This resulted in the following combined day signs:
Santorum and March 6: 7 Deer
Romney and March 6: 2 Net
Gingrich and March 6: 3 Sun
Paul and March 6: 5 Wind

Again, Santorum has the lead. Romney's coefficient of 2 is low, but one meaning of Net is to gather and collect, which suggests he will collect votes. At the same time, Santorum's sign, Deer, is one of authority as well as balance, support and the sign of masculinity. And according to the Yucatecan and Guatemalan Maya, the Year Bearer for 2012 is Earth.

Santorum's Path of the Plumed Serpent
Another factor is Santorum's Path of the Plumed
Serpent, which begins on February 28 and lasts through March 27. This means that his main Action nahual, 1 Monkey (Chuen in Yucatecan, B'atz in Ki'che') should give him a boost on Super Tuesday and in his overall campaign.

1 Monkey falls on March 7, the day after the Super Tuesday vote. But because the Maya say that the day actually starts at sundown the previous day, the effects of his main day sign on the voting and outcome could be significant. It could even mean that the voting will not be decided until the 7th.

Effects of the Path of the Plumed Serpent
Santorum's main Mayan day sign, 7 Earth, is on March 13, and this cycle lasts through March 27. Interestingly, the final day of Santorum's current Path of the Plumed Serpent falls on 8 B'atz/Chuen, which in Guatemala is celebrated as the first day of the next 260-day cycle of the Sacred Calendar.

People usually get a surge of energy during this 28-day ceremonial cycle. It happened with Obama this month, as I predicted in January on my blog on Maya-portal.net. If it happens with Santorum, he will score well on Super Tuesday and move farther ahead through the rest of March.

Western Astrology: Venus and Jupiter Conjunction
Another interesting and unpredictable factor is that on Santorum's Mayan birthday, 7 Earth, the ongoing conjunction of Venus and Jupiter will be at its closest, within three degrees.

According to Western astrology, this is a time of harmony and prosperity. Though the conjunction affects everyone, it may exert additional influence on Santorum, because it falls on his Mayan day sign.
